We’re excited to announce the completion of the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification on June 30, 2022 for 19 AWS Regions. These Regions achieved the Information with Very High Protection Needs (AL3) label for the control domains Information Handling and Data Protection. This alignment with TISAX requirements demonstrates our continued commitment to adhere to the heightened expectations for cloud service providers. AWS automotive customers can run their applications in the AWS Cloud certified Regions in confidence.

The following 19 Regions are currently TISAX certified:

  • US East (Ohio)
  • US East (Northern Virginia)
  • US West (Oregon)
  • Africa (Cape Town)
  • Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)
  • Asia Pacific (Mumbai)
  • Asia Pacific (Osaka)
  • Asia Pacific (Korea)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore)
  • Asia Pacific (Sydney)
  • Asia Pacific (Tokyo)
  • Canada (Central)
  • Europe (Frankfurt)
  • Europe (Ireland)
  • Europe (London)
  • Europe (Milan)
  • Europe (Paris)
  • Europe (Stockholm)
  • South America (Sao Paulo)

TISAX is a European automotive industry-standard information security assessment (ISA) catalog based on key aspects of information security, such as data protection and connection to third parties.

AWS was evaluated and certified by independent third-party auditors on June 30, 2022. The Certificate of Compliance demonstrating the AWS compliance status is available on the European Network Exchange (ENX) Portal (the scope ID and assessment ID are SM22TH and AYA2D4-1, respectively) and through AWS Artifact. AWS Artifact is a self-service portal for on-demand access to AWS compliance reports. Sign in to AWS Artifact in the AWS Management Console, or learn more at Getting Started with AWS Artifact.

For up-to-date information, including when additional Regions are added, see the AWS Compliance Program, and choose TISAX.

AWS strives to continuously bring services into scope of its compliance programs to help you meet your architectural and regulatory needs. Please reach out to your AWS account team if you have questions or feedback about TISAX compliance.

To learn more about our compliance and security programs, see AWS Compliance Programs. As always, we value your feedback and questions; reach out to the AWS Compliance team through the Contact Us page.

AWS extends its TISAX scope to cover the London and Paris Regions

We’re excited to announce the completion of Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification on December 08, 2020 for the London and Paris regions. These regions were assessed at the HIGH protection level (AL 2) for the control domains Information Handling and Data Protection, according to article 28 (“Processor”) of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The TISAX certification helps provide automotive industry organizations with the assurance they need to build secure applications and services in the cloud. The certification was established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and is governed by the European Network Exchange (ENX).

With this scope expansion, a total of 10 regions globally (Seattle, Frankfurt, Ireland, Oregon, Ohio, Northern Virginia, Canada, Seoul, London, and Paris) are currently certified for TISAX and demonstrate a consistent and standardized approach to information security systems for the automotive industry.

An independent third-party auditor conducted and accredited the assessment. Automotive customers can rely on the AWS TISAX assessment results and labels published on the ENX Portal for timely exchange of compliance status with their supply chains. The scope ID and assessment ID are STRN58 and AYZ39G, respectively.

TISAX scope broadened

Post Syndicated from Kevin Quaid original https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/tisax-scope-broadened/

The Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) provides automotive industry organizations the assurance needed to build secure applications and services on the cloud. In late June, AWS achieved the assessment objectives required for data with a very high need for protection according to TISAX criteria.

We’re happy to announce this broadened scope of our TISAX certification today, September 3, the same day that Ferdinand Porsche, credited with originating VW’s Beetle, pioneering hybrid electric-gasoline technology, and founding the Porsche car company, was born 145 years ago.

Automotive customers and their entire supply chain rely on AWS, including Volkswagen’s global supply chain comprised of 122 manufacturing plants and 1,500 suppliers. This certification evidences that the AWS information management systems meet industry standards.

“We rely on our partners and suppliers to achieve a unified level of information security established by TISAX. AWS recognizes the importance of this bar and demonstrates innovation by expanding program scope to include additional regions, control domains, and protection levels.”
–Stefan Arnold, Director Technology & Acceleration, Porsche

AWS completed a scope extension assessment against TISAX very high protection level (AL 3) for five additional regions. The seven regions in scope include Frankfurt, Ireland, US West (Oregon), US East (Ohio), US East (North Virginia), Canada, and Seoul. Control domains in scope expanded to include data protection.

TISAX was established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and is governed by the European Network Exchange (ENX). The assessment was conducted and accredited by an audit provider, and the results are retrievable from the ENX Portal. The scope ID and assessment ID are SP208R and AYZ38F-1, respectively.
